she wanted a new ID for a website. so i added her to this "series".


we were cooking later that night. actually it worked out. 50/2@2 + close up (DR-summicron)


were playing snooker later. this was the looongest kick.. he even had to balance with his leg.

he won the price for being most drunk that night. it has been about 4am already.


schef and i won 2 free beer because we won against the owners 10:0 in table soccer. what a game !! quick and to the point. like that queens of the stone age song, well almost..


again we got kicked out. it was about 5am. schef is pissing on a church. i had to do that too then.


we went to the infamous "grill-bar". number one adress for late night hot-dogs and curry-sausages. each of us had one of these. this benz parked outside. this place is always good to meet all kind of people, pimps, beggars, people from villach, the police, phil collins..


we thought that this man was the mercedes' driver. that pissed him off.. because he was driving an audi. he was kinda posh.. or more yuppi or almost guppi ! well.. he saw me there with my camera.. and said "are you taking a photo of me with that leica" the photo happened somewhere in between these words.. i was way to tired to meter or focus after 10hours printing in the darkroom, developing films, cooking, snooker, table-soccer, beer, vodka, curry-saussages..... but it seems like everything was perfect.


i felt like this guy already. suki. nice name. like something you can eat, something japanese. 1/4th here. didn't hold it though..


6am i think. i'd call that photo like that, if i had to give it a name.


or better this one. 6am. yes. they looked like 6am.


schef insisted on taking a photo of me. it was second last frame.. i was a bit too sloppy with winding up the film correctly.. so two negs didn't got fixed correctly.. it happens.

on that photo you can see the white plastik foil, i was kneeling on the whole shooting for hours.. she was so tiny, that i had to take photos from that perspective to make her look "more representative" for their CI and such..


the shooting took about 10hours and 1000 1dsMKII raws.. i don't really want to be the one who selects the good stuff from the bad ;)

last frame was taken in tobias garage-metal-band-cellar.

i have borrowed berns 28/1.9 voigtlander ultron lens for a day, to see what it is like. it's actually the third ultron i have used. the first was a used lens, linus has bought it via ebay. it had backfocus. the second was a new one, from the store, bernhards, it had backfocus. this one, the third is the replaced one of bernhards ultron. guess what. backfocus again. all ultrons have backfocus. we're wondering why.

well on this shot you won't see it, 28mm on f5.6 on distance focus..


unfortunately i have shot this one on 28/2.. but the focus isn't as off as on other frames.. i'm glad that this frame turned out good.


back to my summi 35/2. this man just walked over a rather multi-tracked street, with his crutch under his arm while looking down all the time.


we went to some house (flat) warming party.



there we smoked one shisha after another.. i love that thing.

we all got sleepy after a while. got back home at 6am. ps: i shot all the photos without working metering. my batteries were empty. god bless mechanic shutters ;)


yesterday my gradpa celbrated his 75th birthday. more or less the whole family (my mothers, parents are divorced) came together. something that happenes every few years.

i remember i've seen her last time with hair short as mine. must have been a couple of years. my 10ys old cousin.


my dr.uncle in my grandfathers appartement and former atelier.


i wasn't the only "comissioned" one there. i think he shot colour though... my grandpa shooting for the family album, just like me, right ? ;)


haha.. my oldest cousin. saw him last time at the age of 10. now he's almost 16. maybe the biggest change that happened. everyone else stayed the same.

the plant. aloe vera. third present. my mother and sisters. they're the esotheric ones in the family. maybe some sort of natural viagra plant.. who knows.


and finaly the cake. present number 4. i took this one while holding the camera high up above everyone. you know like these canon-markII dudes do when they shoot paris and co. except that i had f2.0 1/45th and manual focus and no flash.. love how this shot turned out!

my grandmother wanted to have a photo of her grandchilds.. so i had to take a "staged" shot. this one i took right after the staged one was done. i prefer it much more to "everyone is smiling".

we went to eat dinner later. we took the public transport. the funny thing was that i was shooting for the family, documenting the birthday, but when we go by tram, i surely have to take some streetshots in between. just a funny thought.




finaly at the table. we we're waiting almost one and half hour for the meal. that's why the dessertwas for free..


so we had time to do all kind of nonsense. like my gradfather, doing some sketh of my mother. she looks like a moster on it. it's meant to be funny of course and it was.

my 10ys old cousin took this one. trix normal 1/8th f2.0 0.7m distance.. now that's what i call well done, spot on focus, no blur... good job ! (i helped a little)

so i was trying to get a new shirt today and again found out what an anti-shopping-type of guy i am.. nowhere you go you're surrounded by people you don't want to be surrounded by.. be it posh, be it pseudo-alternatives, be it rich girls with their daddies or just crowds of metrosexual macho apes... for me it's hard to go "shopping" without turning mad.

this man was reading the "glamour". he is packed with all kind of bags of several cloth stores... maybe his daughter had birthday. it's all there. the "RAG" a popular skate shop that is more like a fast-food chain that has nothing to do with food anymore, the italian shoe store.. you can imagine the rest.. that corner of the shop wasn't the cheapest of course ;)





in the end, i found something to my liking. it's not easy. either it's classic and boring or it's fancy but OVER-labeled and i don't want to be a running advert for a brand. if you try to be "alternative" you realize that everyone is wearing h&m and i find their style not very innovative.. other cloths that may look nice at first are printed with sexist messages that just aren't funny.. like "groupies welcome".. i really don't want to spend money on something that will only embarrass myself.

so in the end i found something and spent too much money for it again. i sound like a (sorry) "pussy" right now, but when there is something i like, i buy it.. stupid i know. but there is no visible label, no macho-image or stupid message and it's not a jon doe shirt like any other and it makes me look like brad pitt.. (that was the actual reason)

i'm glad that i don't know if a little thai girl or an italian fashion desinger him/herself made it.. because if i thought about that too.. i'd might start to knit my own cloths

i never talked so much about cloths. i think that's enough for the next years.

anna. the just turned 20 one, explained how she almost found out about the surprise-party. actually it was my fault, because i sent a sms to her mother instead of her.. since they switched mobile-numbers some time ago and i missed that.

so not anna but her mother received the text message.. but it was anna who had her mothers mobile and saw "text message by severin" and read that aloud.. so barbara (her mother) was getting nervious and took the mobile away from her.. i just wrote "20years, yeah!" nothing else.. but barbara thought i'd write something like "allright i'll be there at 7pm" or something.. he. well.





i love those two. ha. they're brothers. i forgot their "real" names. the left one is "sixty-nine" and the other "shitty".. haha.. i love that. they were wearing these lumberjack shirts open so that you could see their hairy chest.. haha.. those dudes.
